I finally bought "The Unreleased Recordings" last week. Nice surprise... even if something's missing in the performances.

Pascal: Yes, you are, of course, absolutely correct. I realized when I was proofreading that post that I should make a point of that (as I did with the Elton John album), but I forgot. I like to think of these instances as "faux" first albums. Elton John, Warren Zevon, Emmylou Harris, etc. Artists who made a debut album that has been almost completely forgotten, lost or even disowned. By the way, none of the material on the Hank Williams "The Unreleased Recordings" is on "The Complete Hank Williams" box set, which I also have. If you're a big fan, the new 3CD set is worth it.

These are all great albums and I love the all, though I don't know "The Unreleased Recordings" by Hank (I have the 10-CD box "The Complete Hank Williams").
I just disagree with one thing: "Warren Zevon" is Warren's second album. The first is "Zevon - Wanted Dead Or Alive".
